Here is a great modification I found for the Maxi jets to increase flow.  Looks simple enough and seems to work great.

Have you built one Angel? I have thought about trying one but haven't had the time yet.

I have built two of them but have had trouble getting the stoppers just right.  I like these new kits but I don't see stoppers on them?  What happens if the power flickers and they start going the other way and suck water instead of push it?  Hmmmmm?

Angel,

My stop was breaking just like yours.  I think I fixed the issue by replacing the 1/4 acrylic rod with a 1/4 threaded nylon screw.  The nylon is much more impact resistant and will not shear like the acrylic.  I just tapped out the hole where the rod was and put in a screw.  So far it has been working great.

Leng Cy did his own version of Maxi Jet Mod.    It is a little better than Maxi jet Mods. com version.  Its about 5 dollars cheaper too.
