« on: March 21, 2008, 09:27:15 am »
Hello all,

Having recently moved to the area (walla 2), I was wondering what the best (most economical) method of getting salt is -w hen you live in an area where there is a dirth of LFS that have such items.  How have members gone about getting their salt?

Thanks

I go online.   I find the cheapest price on salt.   I print it out and take it to Petsmart.   Petsmart use to match the price.
Eric at Amazon Bay in Richland has special prices for Club Members on Salt also.
Welcome to Tri-cities!

Eric is below or equal to the Pets Mart web price for Instant Ocean.  I believe around $35 per 150 gal bucket.

Eric at Amazon Bay in Richland is where I'm getting all my salt these days.  Instant Ocean for $35 or so per bucket as Rick said, with no need to print the web price and take it to him.  Plus, we are supporting a local business in our hobby.   ;)  If you plan to make one of the meetings up here, I'm sure Eric could be contacted and asked to hold a bucket for you.  Let us know if you need his number.
