coral Question
« on: September 16, 2007, 08:46:55 pm »
Do corals need an alternating water flow? Do I need to get a wavemaker or will they be fine if I just set up some powerheads to provide a steady water flow?

The mushroom you got will be fine without a wave maker.  And the hard corals should be as well if you just put a powerhead in the tank to move the water.  Don't direct the powerhead a the coral, rather at the tank wall or live rock.  Later on when you get into a tank larger thank the 29 gallon and your corals become larger colonies, then you will likely need a wave maker.
