Dripping Kalk

When mixing up Kalk, I use a 1 liter bottle and put about a tsp of Kalk in and mix in RO/DI water and mix and let it sit for about 2 days.  After I drip it into the tank I usually have a bit of kalk sludge at the bottom of the bottle.  Now I have usually been leaving it in there and mixing a new batch.  But eventually I will dump it out.

So my question/s is:
1. should I dump the excess Kalk out each time
2. should I not add anymore kalk to the mix and just add water since there is already an amount in the bottle.
3. should I not even worry about it and just continue to dose as I have been.

Thanks

What I would do is to just add fresh RO/DI water to it a 3 more times and shake and let it settle out. Then drip it. After three refills of plain RO/DI, I would dump out the rest and restart over again.

BTW. 1tsp of calcium hydroxide (Kalkwasser powder) will cause 1 gallon of RO/DI water to become supersaturated of Calcium. This is then usually dripped into the tank.

So what you are doing is using 4 liters or 1 gallon per tsp, if you do it the way I suggested.
