April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

My rose bubble-tip anemone split as noted in http://68.113.1.17/mcsac/index.php?topic=925.msg7819 and I need to find a home for the extra.  I'm open to a wide variety of trades since I run various types of tanks.  When I received the original anemone from Kyle, he was selling the small ones for $30.

No responses, so I may have to get creative in figuring out how to take care of this little guy.

Also looks like my chaeto (brillo-pad macroalgae) has outgrown its space, so if anyone wants a bit (gratis, of course) I'll wait to throw it out.

I'm hoping Les will have a bit of extra xenia that needs thinning. Smiley

Paul,

If you bring the Chaeto to the meeting on Sat, I'll take it off your hands.  Also, you and I need to get together and get your redesigned web site rolling.  Again, we can discuss on Sat.

Hi!

I have a small maroon clownfish who might really enjoy the anenome (I hope).  I don't have anything to trade, but $30 does sound fair.  I have a 90 gallon display tank with the clownfish, a sailfin tang, two neon gobies and a sixline wrasse (fairly lightly stocked, and I plan on keeping it that way).  Does it sound like I could provide the little jewel a good home?  I plan on attending the Saturday meeting, so let me know if I need to bring my styrofoam-lined box  (I'm coming from Yakima).  Thanks!

That tank will give the rose bubble tip anemone a great home, especially with the maroon clown.  Hope to see you on Saturday.

Sounds great to me!  I'll bring him to the meeting.

Rick, I'll bring the chaetomorpha as well.  Did you get rid of all of yours?

Hello,

I thought I'd try to post a picture of the RBTAnemone in its new home (with its new friend).  I've just purchased my digital camera, and I'm not sure how to size images, get a good focus, etc., but here goes!

Well, that just did not work.  I cannot figure out how to attach a photo.  (It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks Embarrassed)

The file size needs to be smaller than 256KB.  You can size it down with the graphic program that came with your camera.  Then, to attach, just click the "additional options" below the text box for your reply, in the "Attach" field, click the "Browse..." button to select the file you wish to upload to the site.  Then click "Post" as usual, and it should show up below your reply.  If you still can't get it to work, you can send me the picture via e-mail and I will get it up for you.   Wink

Thanks for the help!  I'm trying again with a smaller-sized image.

Looking good there!  I'm glad it made it all right and that your clown has taken to it already.

Good to meet you at the meeting, too.   Smiley

Paul,

Yes, the meeting was quite fun.  Everyone seemed welcoming and I really enjoyed it.  I ate so much that it was hard to keep my eyes open on the drive back to Yakima!  I'll try to make the meetings as often as I can.

Thanks for the chance to house such a beautiful creature.  (If it splits again, I'll bet there will be plenty of people interested in taking one, as I had such good luck!)

It was really nice meeting you, too.
