January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

It quoted me $12.99 standard shipping for four 160G buckets of reef crystals.  With those kind of rates, we could do a small group order and the shipping prices would disappear into the lack of sales tax...

A few people from  the Seattle Club got together and did this.   They offered me a in, I declined.     Its a good deal if you buy bulk I heard.   The shipping was a flat rate like Paul said.     I was curious about reef crystals.   How long does this sale last?     If we have time maybe a group order?

Pet Solutions is having a SALT sale with no additional shipping charges.  A 160 gal bucket of Instant Ocean is $33.99 and shipping is free if we spend $200.  That would be 5 bucket of salt for free shipping.

This sale ends March 30th.

Is there any interest in a group order?  They have several other brands of salt available as well

Pet Solutions' prices on salt are higher: $33.99 for Instant Ocean as opposed to $29.49.  In order to get over $200 for the free shipping, you need to buy 6 buckets from Pet Solutions, for a total of $27 more than Foster and Smith, which more than makes up for their shipping price of $14.99 on the same 6 buckets.

I would be interested in ordering some Reef Crystals as part of an order from Fosters and Smith.

I never heard anything more on this.  The Pet Solutions sale is over and the Foster and Smith sale runs until the the 14th of this month.  I'm thinking about ordering some myself.

You offering to coordinate?   Tongue  If this will be going in before the 14th, we will take a bucket of Instant Ocean.  Let me know, because otherwise, I need to get some ordered somewhere myself.  I don't have enough for the next water change with what is in my bucket right now.

All right, I'm going to put in an order Real Soon Now(TM).

At this point I have Nate and Colleen for one bucket of Instant Ocean and Andy for one bucket of Instant Ocean, as well as my own bucket.  With shipping split three ways, that's $33.15 for each of you.

Paul, Ed, Rick, anyone else want to order?
