April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Most of you remember my dogs Tiffany and Maggie.  And so you remember that Tiffany passed away last year while I was here in Virginia.  Maggie is my old girl (14 years) and she has been real sick for the last couple of weeks but we can't stand to watch her suffer anymore so we are putting her sleep to be with Tiffany in the morning.  It breaks my heart ot do it but we can't bear to see her this way.  So tomorrow will be a sad day for us here in Virginia.  Just thought I'd share with my friends and family back in Washington.

sorry to hear that but some time you have to look out for the animals well being and let them go. 14 years is a good life long for a dog. try to stay strong.

Cry Sorry Angel! Steve and I had to have our two dogs put to sleep on the same day, one day before we moved here from California. It was very sad, but we still have the memories of all the fun we had with them.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.  Knowing you, Maggie had a wonderful life and this show just how much you really do care for her.

Been through it here too my friend.  It's not fun, but believe me when I tell you, THAT was easier to take than when my first dog got hit on the road.  She coudn't hear well anymore, and had grown up on mostly abandoned dirt roads.  We'd moved to a place on a paved road, and she still thought sleeping on the road for the stored heat was a good idea.  I think I was 11 when that happened.  After that, we kept all our dogs inside at night.  I feel your sorrow, as I'm sure any of us that have had pets do.  Try not to dwell on the bad, and remember you are doing it so that she isn't suffering, and so you are able to have the memories of all the good times, and not a year or so of watching her decline at the end.   Cry

Thanks everyone again for the support and kind words. It was a tough morning Celinda and I were very heart broken but we took relief that we both could be with her at the end.  She went to sleep peacefully.  And I know she is in heaven playing with Tiffany  Smiley
