Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Ok, I stopped by petco after picking up my reeftopia stuff from Nate and Colleen (thanks guys!!) and here's the deal on the grand opening.  They open at 9am.  All damels, including green chromis, will be 1.99.  There were only about 15 in there when I left tonight.  Ocellaris clowns will be 9.99 and they have alot of them.  The 14.99 price is what they go for if you have a petco card and buy them any time other than tomorrow.  I hope there will be relatively little fighting over the chromis when they open the doors at 9am. Smiley  See you all there (probably around 10am).

oh yeah, I know this is contradicting info from what was previously posted, but I got it from the printed ad.  The guy that I talked to about the fish told me he had been errantly telling people the chromis were going to be $1.50.

I just came home with my pair of ocellaris clowns too.  I couldn't help it.  I meant to only buy one, but *sigh*...

Who got the chromis?  I am curious. Smiley

I picked up 2 clowns, and a damsel that was the 1st addition to my 55 gal "nano" tank.  And the free cat food, of course.

We didn't go to the grand opening on Saturday (already have my PetCo card) but we did go a couple weeks ago and I got a pair of Clarkii clowns.  They took to the rose BTA right away and are just fun to watch.  One of them does have a popeye (Darrel thinks it was an injury he caused trying to get the little guy out of the bag) so we named them...what else...Popey and Olive Oil.  Hoping the bulgine eye will resolve, but otherwise he is doing fine.  In any case, every other clown fish we had gotten, elsewhere, only made it a day or two but these two are doing great.   I will say that I wish Petco would get the large buckets of Instant Ocean salt at the same price we can get from Petsmart using their internet price.  Just meant we have to check out two pet stores - but that is okay since I think I spend more on the pets than on us anyway (I know I am at Petsmart more often than Albertson's!)
