January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

The dwarfs will work, Flame Angels, Coal Beauty or Lemon Peel.  You just can't have both at the same time.

Rick

Thats not so much an ocean but a tide pool!!!
As to the Angel keeping, at one time I had 4 in there. I lost two to ich and the Lemon Peel when my chiller broke and dumped the refrigerant in the tank. Now I am down to just the Pearl Scale dwarf. But I have to agree with Rick, in MOST tanks it's not a good idea to try more than one.  I do have to say that the two Coral B. were acting like a pair and that was very cool to watch. One of these days I will try it again.

i was looking at a midnight dwarf angel (solid black) on marine depot live or a flame angel. but was unsure if it was the right thing with a clam already in my tank.

I have a blue girdled Angel that is doing good with Clams.   Its kind of a crap shoot.   Regal  Angel would probably be ok if you could find one that eats  well.

Angels are beautiful. Grin My coral beauty never messed with my clam.  I wish I could get rid of all of these pyramillid snails so I can put a clam in my tank.  I may get a 175 halide for my fuge and some cheap little clams in there.  I heard this is a great way to keep your water clean using filter feeders.

My first one is now about 7" long she has grwn into a deep green Purple hue! one of the most pretty fish I have she is so hi strung I just about lost her 2 week ago she jumped into the over flow Boy Sherri & I had a very fun time getting her out next day she was fine but It did scare me.  Angel The Pyramillid snails will die if they have no clams to eat on Its usllay is safe to reintroduce clams after a 6 month waiting period. Do this if you plan on getting any more clams. Order them from Barrey Or Kevin NO ware elese If you do this you wont have a snail problem.
P.S. Get a Leopard Wink
