April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Help. I woke up this morning to a small ocean on my kitchen and dining floors!!! Is there anyone out there that could give me some advice? Should I have Mike shut off the pump? Keep it running to keep the rest of the water in the tank and not in the sump??? Huh

Dashia,

Tried to call both home and cell but no answer at 8:09 this morning.  Get as much water into the tank rather than the sump and things should be fine until you figure out why it flooded.  Any ideas where the water came from?

Rick,
All the water is in the tank, none in the sump. (Well about 2-3 inches is in the sump) Fuge is full. If I turn off the pump won't it all go to the sump? It must be there that it is escaping! I didn't have time to do much investigating this morning. (2 people gone from work) So, hopefully my pump doesn't fry by the time Mike wakes up. He went to bed at 4:00am (working graves) so it happened between 4:00 and 6:00am. Call me at work Rick please!!!
Dashia

Oh, Thanks Nate- I will keep you posted.

good luck

hopefully its nothing major and the pump survives. i came home to a flood a few weeks ago and fortunately it was that my overflow was plugged and nothing major. but your heart sure sinks when you find something like this. i feel for you and again good luck.

Man I hope all is ok.  If you shut off the pump then the water should only drain down to where your drains will let it.  And unless you switched tanks the last time I saw it it should be very low at all.

Dashia,
From what you state above.   I am guessing you have a blockage after the fuge.     I am a phone call away also.    I hope you figure it out.

Hey all. I am hoping that it is fixed and from what Mike could tell in all his aquarium expertise it was the chaeto blocking the whatever....so hopefully it will be ok. I have been making water and will get more water in it tonite. Had to mix salt, blah blah blah! Thanks again for your thoughts. Wink

Oh yeah will do it.  Try putting some mesh or asome king of a barrier so it doesn't happen again.
