January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Well, I went to Spokane today and just couldn't come home empty handed... So I got a couple of fish from Barbie's store - Aquarium Solutions.  Here is a pic of the cute little guys I found.  I just had to have them.  They were acting like a pair at the store, so I just HAD to get both.  I need to find a pistol shrimp now...  I couldn't get the second one to move, so you can only see all of one of them.

Yeah Angel, they do look like the yashia hashe (I can't even remember how to spell it).  They are even shrimp gobies too so they will hang with a pistol shrimp.  I can't wait to see that relationship.  They haven't started acting like a pair in my tank yet though.  I hope they are a true pair.

A very good snag Jeff finding a pair is very tough kudous to you. Those Hi fin gobies will spawn in your tank i given time if its quite enought for them Now you need to get a mated pair of  Alpheus randalli
Here is a picture of mine before she dropps the kids off  Grin

I know!  Randalli are my favorite pistol shrimp.  Do they make the snapping sound often?  That's my only concern...

Not as much as some of my others Jeff They do but becuse of their small size and more gental nature they are seldom heared unless you are right on the tank to hear it. I cant really explain it to well but their snap is about 1/4 the noise level of my bigger species.. I watch mine when they come out of the bat Cave they will some time snap their main claw to stun Ampiopods then catch them for dinner Cheesy

This is way too cool I might have to get inn on something like this.  I saw a shrimp and gobie set for $85 at the LFS.  Might have to go back
