April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Here is the latest.  Well, we finally got water in the tank today and it was pretty intense.  Of course, there were some leaks that needed fixing but I think they're under control.  Nacho added the bar light which added a nice touch to the room and now we just get to wait until we can go to the next step.

Another update:  We now have water and 100 lbs of rock that we bought from a guy in Sandpoint Idaho for a good deal.  We are in the cycling mode and we tried to get some damsels but couldn't find any in the Tri Cities so we'll check again this weekend and if there isn't any then I guess it's a road trip.  Can we go thru the process without them or do we need them to see when each phase is past it's point?

This is Nacheetah using Sirfisher's sign on because he was already on. Wink

Oh my gosh!  That is incredible.   Grin

Don't need damsels for cycling. Just use one or two raw shrimp from the grocery store.  They will decompose and will start the bacteria cycle without killing a damsel.  Besides, who knows you may win a few chromis at the next club meeting if you buy raffle tickets.

Got to agree with Rick.  No damels are needed.  I didn't use any fish for cycling in my tank, just the rock.  Is your 'fuge up and going? That will help out alot also. It looks looks like you have "magic floating rocks".  Whats going on there?  It looks fantastic, guys! Grin  Great Job.!!! Wink

Looks very nice.   Like someone else said the rocks look cool.   Is that a acrylic tank or did you build a acrylic curtain?
