April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Is anyone interested in a group order from either That Fish Place or Live Aquaria?  I want to try fish in my tank again and I don't want to pay the shipping.  That Fish Place has free shipping on orders over $200.  Live Aquaria doesn't, but they have a better selection and a 14 day guarantee.  If we get enough people together, that could be worth it as well.  If you're interested, post and let me know.  John - you've got to be about ready for some fish in your new baby, right? You must have been reading my mind.  I just jumped on the forum to post for exactly that.  I went down to Aquatropics to maybe pick up a yellow tang and something else for movement , and that guy wants $32 for a yellow tang!!!! Dude, Liveaquaria has them on sale for $14.99!!!!!!  As far as which one to buy from, I have bought from both in the past, and they are both good, I think Live Aquaria is a little better quality, their customer service is great, and if we get enough people, splitting up the $35 shipping shouldn't be that big a deal.  Lets try to put together an order in the next couple of days.  If we could get a few more in, we can do even better on the shipping.

I'm in for some fish from Live Aquaria.  Their guarantee is great and the quality of their livestock is excellent.

Do we want to get the order in for a pre T-day delivery, or wait for the week after?

I can get together my order pretty quick.  The only thing we might chec is if their schedule is going to change for the holiday.  I'm looking at about three to four fish myself.

I was hoping to go for the week after.  That would work best for me.  Order monday and deliver tuesday would be perfect.

I was kinda hoping for this week because several of the fish I want are on special.

Jeff,  if we did go for this week, would a Tuesday or Wednesday work better for you?

Here is their holiday shipping schedule

I am leaving to go out of town Wednesday, that's why I was hoping for next week.  Could we order Friday and get the special price and then have them ship on Monday so we receive the box on Tuesday?

If you need to order and have a place to keep my stuff until next Tuesday, can you get me a firefish and a peppermint shrimp?  I may want some freshwater fish too, but that will depend on the timing of the order.

I just checked their stuff a little more.  Here's the deal:
The sale ends on Thursday the 23rd (thanksgiving).
If you order Thursday, then you get the stuff on Tuesday the 28th.
This works perfectly for me.  Will it work for you guys too?  We can order the weekly specials (all 3 of the fish/shrimp I want are on sale too) AND get them shipped next week.
