April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

other than fish or crabs is there a way to get rid of bristle worms in a tank with zoos, hermit crabs, snails, and fish? Meds or some sort of witches brew?

Tweezers or a bristle worm trap.  You can make one using a plastic coke bottle and some food for bait.

What you want is a small plastic tube (chamber) that is sealed except for one end.  The opening at that end shoud be like a funnel to only allow easy passage one way (into the chamber) so they will crawl in but cannot get out.  You can  bait with a small piece of raw shrimp, fish or other smelly food.  The  more it smells the easier they will find it.  Put the bait in, fill it with water so it sinks and lay it on the sand bed.  The worms will find it.  After a day or so remove the trap and empty the worms, then bait again and go.

I have seen folks take the bottle and cut the top off and then glue it in backwards so the top is on the inside.  As Rick mentioned any kind of smelly food will do.  If you have shrimps be careful that they don't get caught in there too.
