January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

hey all
first off wanted to say sorry bout being MIA wasnt a great summer for me and the fish business kinda left a rotten taste in my mouth, but hope to get back to some meetings this winter.
Anyways got a bit of a garage sale here, dont have pictures yet give me about a week. The backround on this stuff is a customer who couldnt come up with cash so i got the aquariums. all in good condition so just let me know if your interested.

480 Gallon acrylic aquarium 96*48*24 Black acrylic on one end and 2 center overflows

two small sump tanks, about 40 gallons each, connected together ran the 480 filtration, has built in skimmer stacks, tough to explain need some pics probably

Near 200 pounds of crushed coral pulled from the 480, dried out now and would need a good flushing with fresh water.

150 gallon acrylic aquarium  Need dimensions
black on both ends, some scratches on one side pane currently on oversized stand and a marineland tidepool sump setup

2 UV units will have to get makes and models, one ran on the 150 the other the 480 may need new bulbs.

have some 3/4 loc line laying around as well as a bulkhead or two from custom aquatics from 1" to 2" in size only a few.

Have some dried out live rock will need new curing process, probably about 20 or so pounds

On the move and thats all i can think of at the moment just wondering if there may be any interest here locally before i post elsewhere.
thanks guys

Man, I want that 480! I have dreams about a freshwater stingray and discus tank.  Argh!  I can't even afford a proper saltwater setup right now though, let alone a 480 gallon tank.

Kyle,

From what I understand, the 480 has rather thin or lightweight acrylic used for the main large panels.  It may be ok but it will bow on you.

Rick,

Which UV were you after?  Is there one of these that would be a good add for the 155?

I picked up the larger UV and John bought it for his tank.  I believe the other one is damaged and too small for the 155.
