Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Sorry to hear about your loss Jeff   These are great Gobies I have been keeping these guys for quite some time I have a pair of Belacatinus genie "golden Neon" as to your blue Neon's that have bread and had babies in my 75 gallon tank these guys are really at home in a big tank loving to work over big fish eating any parasite's or any thing that dosen't look normal on the the host fish. I costantly have mine swim on my hands and arms when they are in the tank they do like to bite the hair on your arms    Great Fish just never get more than 2 per tank and yes I have been told they are nesters and will gaurd their eggs till fry hatchout Good luck I hope you can find out why you lost them and try again..Jeff

Thanks Angel I do like mine It seems to be about 3/4" longer & bigger than my Yasa Hase Gobie I currently have 3 Randel Pistol shrimps In a 29 gallon Nano tank two of these guys have mated up and share the same hole with the Watchman he will usally stay 3" in the water collum or on struckture when the Male will do all the work I belive its the male Iam no Randel shrimp expert but the male is 3/4" long and the female is about a 1/2" longer  I have seen eggs on her on 2 diffrent time she almost never comes out of the dens.
Paul I have 2 Yasa Hase in 2 different tanks they are both very serious bottom dwellers I do recomend that If you decide to get one get a pair of randel shrimp at the same time they will bond it you acclimate them at the same time in a big bowel as for reading about them jumping i belive this to only to be  true in a bare bottom tank or were they would be under tremendous stress from other fish a quiet nano is perfect for these guys I have a pair in my 150 that i know are there but I cant enjoy seeing them. when I move to my new house I plan on building a race track  like a long free slow flowing fuge like enviroment to watch them more closely I have had some of them now for over 2 years and never had a jumper so far thanks for asking...Jeff ok some more eye candy.
