April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

I told Nacho that I was going to post pics as the progess goes forward. Maybe that will motivate him to stay on it and get it done quicker.

Also, a pic of him on his birthday which landed on boat race Sunday.  As a birthday gift, he got  his first peice of decor for his new room from our daughter.

Here is a pic of him getting his grill on.  He was in charge of grilling for our tent during the boat races and was wearing the chili pepper apron to add character...after all it was the races and people can get away with wearing just about anything.

Great pictures Carmen!  I can't' wait to see the room when it is finished.  That is going to be so cool.

If you really want to keep Nacho motivated, schedule a reef club meeting for the week after you want him to have it finished.  That should do the trick.

Update: We got past all the electrical and finished laying out the ceramic floor which was fun because we really couldn't decide how we wanted it.  We put a different design in the middle and kept looking at it and decided it looked so retro and pulled it off and replaced it with something nuetral and simple and this is what we came up with.  It's too late now to change our minds again so this is it.

We will do the grouting at the end and it will be a sandstone color.  It's starting to get cold so we need to speed things up so hopefully we can get the walls up this weekend.

We'll keep you posted on the next step.

Enjoy!
