April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Hi everyone.  Sorry we haven't been at the meetings lately or on the forum, but we have been working on setting up our tank and finally have saltwater and some live rock in it. Very exciting!   Cheesy   However, the tank is running 78-80 degrees with just a couple pumps running - not even with the lights on yet.  We are definitely going to need a chiller, but someone in the club had suggested not getting one yet until we can be  sure what size we need once we have all the lights on and see how hot it gets.  Does anyone have a spare chiller that we could borrow until we buy one?   Looking forward to seeing everyone at the meeting on Sat!

Vicki, I have a 1/4 HP dropin you can borrow.  Not sure if it's as big as you're looking for, but it's something.  With all of my tanks down right now it seems like I have a lot of equipment lying around not getting used...

If you're interested, send me a PM and we can arrange to get it to you.

Vicki, it's great to see your name back on the forum.  I thought maybe you guys gave up on your tank after all that work.  I can't imagine giving it up just like that, if anything the imagination just gets bigger and bigger at least for us it does.  We are back from our vacation and now it's time to get our new tank room in the works and yes we sit here and imagine of all the things we need and want to do to make it a "strictly fish room" and I suggested to Nacho that maybe a bar in the corner would be great...imagine that.

Hey, thanks Carmen.  Welcome home.  No, we never gave up, just that Darrel has been working so much overtime the last several months that he didn't have much time to work on the tank...then we missed several meetings, always some family function or I was out of town at a cat show a couple of times (yes, go ahead, everyone...laugh it up!)  We definitely are excited about  our new tank and have been working on it constantly lately it seems.  Just looking forward to the day when I can see some fish in there!  Water and rock are great, but they are not too interesting to watch after several hours!   The bar idea sounds great to me too... "Margaritas and Mandarins" - what a great combination!!!  Can't wait for a meeting at your house! Cool

Yup, Angel, you got that right.  In addition to working on the tank and the cat shows...we have a new puppy:  "Harley" - see our avatar.   He is fun, but very energetic and keeps us busy.  Darrel is now calling our house the Glasford Zoo.  Hmmm...wonder why?
