April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

The Mid-Columbia Saltwater Reef Club board of directors has decided that it will not be in the best interest of the club to hold a conference this year.

Last year the conference was extremely successful and we as a club want to strive to provide a quality conference every time.  As it takes a considerable amount of funding to hold such a conference, we feel that our current budget will not allow for the quality that we wish to provide.

This year we have been and will continue to focus on fund-raising in an effort to afford reputable presenters, provide the wonderful meals, and of course allow for a spectacular tank tour and social time.  Unfortunately, it just isn’t possible for the club to raise enough funds in one year.

We all hope you will support us in our decision to not compromise the quality of the conference.  With continued effort we hope to bring in some great presenters in 2007, and once again we will enjoy the top quality atmosphere of our conference.

On another note, we are planning to provide more localized speakers in months to come at our monthly meetings.  We want to focus on discussions that you as a club are interested in, and provide continued education in the hobby of saltwater reef aquatics.

Thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely,

Mid-Columbia Saltwater Reef Club
Board of Directors

We think that's a good choice.  We really enjoyed last year and my thoughts were that it can only get better and to do that of course the funds need to be readily available.
