January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

I think my Bozo has Ich- Is there anyone out there with a QT already set up and running that I could bring him to to treat? Please let me know ASAP as this is my 1st fish and I really don't want to lose him.

Also, does anyone know much about RXP? I can't seem to find any, but heard it works good. I would be willing to buy some from anyone who may have some to sell.

yes, I have two Q tanks running right now. I'll be home tonight but call first. You may not want to move the fish. You could instead treat the tank with RXP.

I know, but I can't find it (RXP). I guess Aqua Tropics sold their last bottle. I haven't called "the other place" yet....I guess I will. Also, none of the other fish have it....yet.

Anyone out ther use Rxp before? If you have, how long did it take before you saw any difference?

You need to follow the directions on the bottle to the letter. Another thing to watch for, if your skimmer does not pull the RXP out then you may want to add carbon on the days you don't dose RXP.

Well, I think I am doing it right. I had to guesstimate on the amount of water in my sump. I am dosing like I have 90 or so gallons of total water. I am doing 7-8 capfuls. My skimmer is pulling foam. I dosed on Thursday night and then again this morning. I just don't know when to expect to see a difference in Bozo. So far it is on him and Haze.

You're only supposed to dose every other day. Be carefull not to overdose as that could kill the tank.
