January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

My Coral Beauty doesn't snack, bite, or nip at any of my corals.  I could be lucky though.  My Flame Angel used to nip my Pagoda Cup every once in a while but it did't hurt the coral any.

My latest acquisition is a Scarlet Wrasse.  Beautiful coloration and markings and he doesn't get very big.  He's reef safe and no one seems to mind him nor does he bother anyone else.  The Coral beauty chased him around the first day or so but has since left him alone.  Enjoy

Wow a very nice fish Angel I have read these guyus are good at  searching for live foods in the form of small crustaceans such as pyramidellid snails (clam parasites), commensal flatworms, and bristleworms, making this fish an ideal candidate for the reef aquarium.

I have really enjoyed My Leopards  Cheesy   Unlike my sixline
I hope you have the same luck as I have had with My sand dwellers Thanks again for posting the shots...Jeff

Well I don't think the Scarlet wrasse is getting to the pyramidellid snails because I am finding them and picking them out myself. But he sure is pretty for a dude in pink!  Here are few more updates on new acquisitions.

 Angel,
That coral is a winner.     I want to tell you, that Bangaii Cardinals are rumored to hit the Banned list.    You may not be able to buy them soon.
That was information I got from someone in the know.    So if you could get them to breed you may have something hot.   Tank looks good! Smiley

I think those are cool looking fish and now that you say they might be banned, we better go get them before their obsolete.  Has anyone had a chance to check out the new Petco in Kennewick?  They had some BC's there on Monday but the may not last long, if that's the case Shocked
