Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Justin,
Thank you so much. So far I think I am only going to lose one Cardinal.  But, who knows maybe he will snap out of it by the time I get home. I really appreciate you doing this for us.

Wow Justin You Rule.  Thank you very much for setting this deal up for us..  I'm sure we all really appreciate it, I sure do.  Everything looks great.  I am sure in the future the club would love to go in again for another group order.

hey guys i am glad you enjoy the fish
i have gotten a few calls about claiming fish that look sick and may not make it or didnt make it. i wrote a bit of a disclaimer for this but i just wanted to let people know that i didnt mark up any, you got what i paid so its tough after now for me to hear people lose livestock because i go through it every order but i feel bad cause i am the facilitater

"In regards to fish claiming, they only give me usually like 2 hours after i get the fish to call in all DOA, It supposed to be that at the completion of acclimation if the fish didnt come around then its DOA and thats what they claim. I tried to extend it to 24 hours due to the poor circumstances of yesterdays delivery but it was a no go i had to claim all deaths by noon today so all DOA's are done. This is the major drawback to getting wholesale fish, you cant see there color/pattern and you dont always know that the fish will survive. I usually lose at least 20-50 for every 500 i spend. Its the gamble you take and that is why there is usually a big mark up so to make up for casualties."

Justin,
I don't think anyone expects you to "cover" the loss! We all knew getting into this that we ran that chance. I better be speaking for all of us that ordered from you....Thank you.

i know and i think everyone feels the same way you do, but i am stuck in the business mode and i feel horrible for people who take stuff home and it doesnt make it through the night and i want to cover it, so that post was really a reminder to myself that i cant afford to cover losses Smiley but i tried to talk with the distributor and hopefully a good chunk of what has been lost is covered. i too have already lost $35 in 2 fish and all 5 stars were DOA so i know how it sucks  Sad
thanks guys
