Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Hello all,

I have to make a fish order for some customers here in the next week or 2 and i really dont have all that much too order for shipping not to any profits from my customers, so if anyone is craving some fish that just dont seem to make it to the tri-cities often enough for you let me know. it would be at wholesale price or shall i say "club Price" and a slight adjustment for shipping. I can arrive alive warranty but they would pretty much be out of box in bag pick ups or drop offs. It is usually a good deal but your buying sight unseen which is the biggest drawback.
So if you might be interested let me know. Corals both soft and hard and some suppliments or foods are available on this as well. I guess i can try to put it off till after this months meeting put not much later. Thanks guys

PS Haven't seen you in a long time you need to come around more often man.  Not just when you are trying to make a buck! Cheesy

before i post the list i have things that need to be said that angel brought to my attention.
My desire to be in this club in no way is to gain profits by having weekly sales or such events. My motive in this club is as an aqua culture hobbyist but as it comes i have a side business that deals with maintenance of aquatic systems. My only goal in this post is to help club members while helping costs on my part. $75 dollars shipping is better split amongst 20 fish rather than 10 and therefore less money out of pocket. I in no way want to take anything from LFS at this point. These prices are not an indication of what must be charged by stores and I would be very upset if i was to hear of members bickering with our local stores because this list shows such a price difference! The local fish store business is a difficult one and i am not making this a common place but i do often order for my customers as i am able to control quarantine and not move fish from system to system that i am not in control of. This is a time where i currently do not have the availability of 500 extra gallons of systems around my house for holding tanks as i have in the past and therefore i can not order extra for sale at a later date. That is why i have asked if anyone is interested. I have done my best to cover or conceal the wholesalers ID from this list, however if there is a listing of the wholesaler that i missed please do not contact the distributor or make reference to any local establishments.

I want to again apologize from my absence from the club. I dont get on the computer as much as of late and i was unaware of the last meeting date. My prop tank is still incomplete and it oftens gets to me when i get online and i realize what a slouch i have been when a system i figured running in 3 weeks is dry after 3 months.
Thank you

Justin-
I don't think Angel meant anything by his post in a negative way- he was just jabbin' at ya. I think it is great that you can offer us prices at a discount and I don't think the few things we buy will harm out LFS at all. They seem to do that by themselves.....Thanks for your willingness and hey...maybe we will see you on the 29th!

Justin, like Dashia said I was just giving you a hard time.  I was just hoping to see you at more meetings so we can keep up and see how things are going.  I know you still have frags at Les' and I am at a point where I can actually start buying corals so I wanted to ask questions.

I hope I didn't offend you?  If so I apologize.

Justin-
Ok, so how does this work exactly? Is the $75 shipping split per fish or per people ordering? I would be very interested in making an order- if you could pm me with the specifics-I would appreciate it!

well the shipping isnt usually even that high but yeah i just try to evenly space out the cost over the items, i am not going to add the same price to a snail as i would a large tang but you get the idea. And this list is a template, it will change every sunday night until the ordering date but it is a very good template and can give you good ideas. I order lets say on a sunday night, it is taken care of and shipped monday or tuesday and shows up the next morning, the shipment is picked up from the airport and brought back, then i usually aclimate what i keep and sell, in this case club fish/corals wont even be removed from the bags but i will be available for pickup or can deliver that evening, or someone from the club can pick up the boxes if they want fast fish:) but like i said before i have a large order now so shipping will be less per item.
