January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Seems like some nice pumps.  I have heard of a couple people on RF that have them and like them but no personal experience here.  Wish they would have had this deal when I was setting up my tank!

Ed is running one and likes it.  Kevin Pockell is also running Sequence pumps.  I looked at them when designing my setup and elected to go with Dolphin because Dolphin had a better selection of pumps, mainly the 7500 gph units I bought.

Jeff,
I use to talk to the owner at Dolphin.  He was fantastic.  He passed away and now I am not sure who is repairiing the pumps.  I am hearing some negatives about repairs from friends in Seattle.  So I do not know ..
The owner of Sequence has been fantastic to me and several other people when it comes to repairs.   The new Sequence Reef Flo pumps are pretty nice in my oppinion.  They have improved and are willing to improve more to be the best.  They now have Baldwin motors and heavier front end  for quiet running with better cooling.   I have not heard anyone complaining about leaks.   I would think if you got a seal designed for saltwater you would not have this problem.    My next pump will probably be a Sequence if needed.   I have spoken with owner and wish other manufacturers were as supportive.   When someone strives to be the best and backs his product 100%,  I want to follow and support him through ups and downs.
