April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Great conference everyone!  We had a terrific time.  Good food, excellent speakers, fantastic tank tour, lots of fun with the raffle and silent auction, getting to know so many others in the hobby... simply too much good stuff to mention!   Cheesy

HUGE Thank You's to Rick and Barbie for hosting, to Zul for cooking that great meal on Friday, to Nacho, John, Angel, Ed, Rick, Les, Carmen, Barbie, Dashia, Phil, and everyone else who contributed in a number of ways (I know I'm leaving many people out - sorry - brain fade after all the heat!) Thanks to everyone for ALL the hard work!!  We think it was a HUGE success!!  Can't wait for next year (but maybe we should do this in May or June?Huh  MAN was it HOT!!!!).  Cool

Again, we had a great time and wanted to say THANKS!!!   Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

Vicki, I couldn't agree with you more.  What a great job done by everyone who helped out.  I hope everyone had as much fun as Angela and I had and we can't wait till next year.  A special hats off to Rick and Barbie for all the hard work and effort that the two of them put into this. We are lucky as a club to have these two with us.  I think we all owe them a great big THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!    To everyone else, Nacho, Angel, Ed, Carmen, Dashia, everyone else. great fun.  Thanks.

I agree completely!   Things really went off without a hitch (other than the heat, but I guess it's better than rain).   Tongue  I think my favorite part of the conference was Anthony's coral frag demonstration.  After watching that, and seeing the recovery of the anemone of ours he split, as well as all the chunks (and the parent) from the toadstool recovering so well already (not to mention watching him dremmel off pieces of Rick's cup coral and tile sawing the open brain...and both of them doing GREAT), I'm much less stressed about trying it myself!  I know Angel feels the same way, I watched him hammer several corals apart with a screwdriver and hammer on Sunday! Shocked

Rick and Barbie, all the planning team, and all the workers that made this go so well, THANK YOU.  It's because of your dedication and self motivation that this was such a great time!  I hope I can be more help next year.  Things will *hopefully* be less crazy for us then.

Well, I did get a clip of that great sea-swirl on the coral tank, and also some clips of Anthony Calfo taking a dremel to Rick's corals, the bone cutters and shears, and even the tile saw.

These and a few other pictures are online as well, but I haven't finished sorting and cleaning them up, so you may want to wait until I'm done.
