April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Kyle I have been in this problem before remember when my tank lost its seal
Anyway go down to wal-mart get some 15 or 20 gallon garbage cans       ( Plastic) and put in them what you want to seperate add a tank heater and a power head and you good untill you can get your main tank fixed.
I hope this helps thats what i did...Jeff Cheesy

Kyle,
Here is a another idea you can do think about if you want, how about a kiddee pool?   They are about $10. at Toys R US in Kennewick.   I would think that Walmart would have some in right now.   They are great for placing corals.   The weather we have right now is pretty nice too.   You may need a heater for at night.   But a few power heads and make up water in a kidde pool does wonders this time of year.    You have direct sunlight if you can maintain a steady temperature.    You have lots of room for placing corals.  Just a idea, I will not be upset either way,  I hope this problems gets fixed fast.    It may be a good time to think about a order from Reef Topia  again.    I have killer crabs in my tank.   I have removed most of them.   I could use some astreas.
Good Luck,
Ed

okay thanks for the good ideas guys.  Ed I don't think I could keep my kids from climbing into the kiddy pool with all the corals in them.  cool idea tho.

I have a 10gal tank running.  Sectioned off my return area of the sump for another tank.  Bought a 20 gal tanks kit.  Bought  3 power heads for circulation and devided my heaters up...brought out my backup heater.
Bought charcoal and 2 bags of salt.

I also picked up some copper remover from Aquarium Systems....manufacturer of Instant Ocean.  Only good for 50 gal tho.  All the store had.
I should get some more online if I can find this stuff.

Man this was an expensive mistake.  My Crocea clam is dying..starting to shrink and seprate from the shell...probably be dead by morning.
