January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

I am swallowing my pride and asking for help    I thought I could get everything done, but there has been too much to do.

This coming weekend I need to get 13 yards of bark mulch put down in the yard.  I was wondering if I might be able to get a few people to help unload the truck and spred it out.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Thanks

What time?  I am willing to help out and would also like to know if there is anything you need to make this easier being that I have access to some equipment. Cool

Nacho,

You are awesome!

I want to get started anytime after 8am on Saturday.  I have a pickup, 2 wheelbarrows, a few rakes and standard shovels.  Last time the snow shovel (I have 1)  worked great for unloading the mulch.  If you can think of anything else that would make the job easier, feel free to bring it.

Thank you very much!

Thanks for the support Matt, we really appreciate it Smiley.   Depending on how much gets done on Sat, we may be still going at it on Sunday.

Hey guys! I can help on Sunday. Or late Saturday afternoon. After baseball and softball. I'll call you later and find out the details.

Rick,

Contact bobcat northwest (Hyster) in Pasco, they've got some very cool toys you can rent for about $100 a day that make moving bark mulch MUCH easier:

http://www.bahrcan.com/nate/gallery1/bigimages/back%20yard%20016.jpg

Trust me, you'll be able to move 5 times the amount in the same timeframe.  I moved 3 cubic yards of dirt, 5 cubic yards of gravel and 3 cubic yards of bark in less than 12 hours with this thing.  Started out on the gravel with a wheelbarow and a friend...we'd barely made a dent in 3 hours.  This thing showed up and we were through the 5 cubic yards in another 3 hours of time.  The dirt was gone in about 2 hours, and the bark in another 1.5 to 2 hours.

I'd even volunteer to run it for a good portion of Saturday if you want.  If you don't decide to rent this (or if they don't have one available), I've got a wheelbarow and know how to use it.  Either way, I can be there Saturday to lend a helping hand.

Give me a heads up for Sunday if you still need help.  It's not about pride when a friend is in need.

Sounds like it's manual labor which is o.k. with me.  I'll take some heavy duty rakes just in case and will be there after I drop my wife off at work at 8:00 am unless that's too early.  Call me on my cell (539-0172) if you can think of anything else you need.

See you there! Cool

Nacho,

Anytime after 8 is great.  Not much heavy labor, just moving mulch and raking.

Angel,  I'll give you a call on Sunday if I still need help.  We need to connect so we can talk about my poor eyesight and your small font.

Thanks very much for the help
