April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

ok, so I'm having an issue with a leak.       We found the leak, think we fixed it and I plugged it all back in....nothing :x  So, how long can I go without water movement? The temp in my tank has dropped pretty good so I just moved the heater from the sump to the tank. Is there anything else I should do until we can figure out what is wrong with the pump?

Give the pump a bit and try it again.  Check to be sure you haven't tripped the GFI as well.  Also, if your pump has a reset...be sure that it didn't trip either.  As for water movement, you might want to get some small powerheads (2 maxijet 1000's work well in our 75 gallon) to keep you going until you can get things figured out.  If your tank is cooling down, yes, I'd definitely suggest moving a heater to the main tank for the tim being.  Also shutting down your return line to the sump as a precautionary measure (so you don't lose more water with the water movement) may be a good idea as well.

Best of luck!

Thanks Nate, we got the pump going again last night (about 11;30pm  ) and the temp is back up to about 78- but the pump is still leaking, so we will have to take it all apart again....

What type of pump is it Dashia?   I can spare a power head or two for a short time if needed.
