Tracking method

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.
 
Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

Have you ever tried to remember when you last replaced your bulbs or filters but just couldn't quite exactly remember?  Well you can do what I did and get a dry erase board and use double sided tape to tape it to the inside door of your stand.  Then you can write down important information like bulb install dates and filter change dates.  You can use it track on what days you add certain chemicals or when water changes are due.  The possibilities are endless and all for less than ten bucks at Wal-Mart.

white boards are great, I put one up in my fish room as well.  What I have been doing for my MH bulbs is writing on the ceramic ring at the mogul base the month and year I installed them. I used a sharpie permanent marker.

I use my calendar that comes with Outlook, it remindes me days in advance on what I need to do.

The outlook thing is great...I'll start taking advantage of that at home when we get the new tank up and running.  I use it all the time at work  We keep a journal of all the things that happen in the tank, anytime something new is added, something dies, water changes, bulb replacements, supplement additions, etc.

That's been a very handy tool.  We will definitely keep doing it, we've been able to look back and see what we did when we had similar problems before...helps solve things quicker the 2nd time around.   :wink:
