April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

It isn't the first time that's happened there.  Once they get them, they are terrible at getting rid of them.  They just don't seem to worry about it.

Oh so the world is going to dry sea beds in a flatworm basket!

I have read that the Wrasses six line , Leopards and other Wrasses from the same species will go to town on Flatworms I have also been told But I cant verify this that Copperband,s have been known to eat flat worms as well they must assume they are small shrimp i guess???

Well they have a 6 line in the tank now and he wasnt doin a thing. There isnt much in the tank they should just take the remaining rocks out and flatworm exit them.

We have a 6-line.  Got our first one (before the tank skunked) to fight this very problem.  Colleen had some flat worms come in with an order she'd placed and ended up with an infestation.  The 6-line took care of it quite handily.  We had a psychedelic mandarin too...so the pair together took care of it I should say.

Thanks for the Post Nate  Cheesy  That is great News to hear about the six line! I don't have one i have wanted one, but with my Leopard Wrasses it didn't seem like a good idea to mix them.  And i also like the dual roll the Wrasses have with the Mandrins and all Dragonets!  The Wrasses sleep at night and the Mandrin is a night hunter so they both give each other time to work the tank over and not fight     In Vol 1 of the reef Aquarium on page 294 & 295  Charles & Julian go into great detail on how the wrasses will peck the flat worms right off the corals and they mention the Mandrins as well as Golden Head sleeper gobies will eat them off the sand bottom I belive this is the same type of sand sifting Gobies Rick & Have. I never want to have flat worms in my tank and ED & Matt talked me into getting a small bottle of Flatworm exit I just put 2 drops in each coral i get before it goes in the tank M2C.worth..Jeff Cheesy

The poor fish is probably not eating at all anyway!
