January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Got your attention?

Just thought I'd let everyone know that we've got the 155 filled and are working on adjusting the flow of the Dolphin pump now!  It's still in our garage, and we've only almost overflowed it twice.  I need to try shutting the gate valves on the supply line some and see if we can get water to return to the sump as quickly as it seems to want to go up to the tank.  I've gotten some info from Rick and intend to try it again tonight with the pump choked down about 1/2 on each supply line.  Good news is, all the re-plumbing I did seems to be working fine, no leaks anywhere, and water is definitely going the right direction!  I think by this weekend I should be ready to work on getting it moved inside and all the drains, chiller lines, canopy vent line, and supply lines hooked up.  Then, a couple weeks to cycle and we'll have a 75 gallon tank for sale!  Pictures to follow...was too busy this morning.

Dang it...didn't get pictures last night again either.  I've just got too many projects going on at once!  I can't wait until one of them is done.

Jeff,  I think Rob & Christy (I think that is the right spelling for her name) are going to take the 75 gallon once we move over.  They came over to get some mushroom anemones last night (got to see the new tank in the garage too).  They were looking at the tank, and asked price.  When we told them turn key price was going to be $1200, they asked if they could have first shot.  We told them no problem.  If something should come up and they decide not to take it, I'll be sure to get the information on the tank to you.

Jeff, if your brother is still looking, sounds like ours will be back on the market again.  Pictures here:  http://www.bahrcan.com/nate/gallery1/imagepages/garden%20and%20fishies%20013.html

$1200 takes stand/canopy/tank/lights/pumps/skimmer/ect. turn key, only need sand , rock and critters.  We hope to be moving livestock over to the new tank in June...I'm just not making progress on the tank quick enought to have it ready before we head out for our cruise at the end of this month and feel comfortable leaving it for a week unattended.
