April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Ok I would like one more fish in my 75 gallon. I have this right now:

Lopezi Tang- very nice with a great temperment

Pseudochromis- a bit testy but thats a psuedo for ya

LMB- nobody even notices him

A Big Clarkii - the evil fish

I bought a nice green wrasse- I watched them for a long time after introducing the wrasse. Everyone was happy and the wrasse was already eating.

Next thing I know my Clarkii has the wrasse agains the glass and was pounding him!

I didnt even has a chance to save him. The Clarkii grabbed the wrasse and drug him into his anemone.
That was the last I saw of him. The wrasse was like 3" too! I looked for a body. Nothin left and no ammonia spike so I think the tank will be ok.

Sooooooo  I really want to add one more fish but what can I add? It has to be big enough so my Clarkii doesnt bully it and not big enough to eat my pseudo.

Getting rid of the Clarkii is not an option. My hubby picked him out.

I was thinking about a tang but what kind? It would need to be a smaller variety and not the same shape as the lopezi

Hi Clarki a couple of suggestions Is what i wanted to pass on another tang will be Kind of hard if the Lopenzi has been there a while you might want to think of a Lawn mower bleeny they do a good job on cleaning live rock and some soft corals as well Mine will clean up my Encrusting Gorgonians [Briarium] and other leathers. You have a psuedochromis so i wont recomend a Sixline wrasse unless you are wanting to keep clams in the future. Have you thought about a cleaner fish like a Blue or golden neon gobie If you get a pair they are the same sex they will pair up and one will change sex then watch them clean your fish they will pull up to the neons and ask to be cleaned esp. the tang Smiley  here is a link HTH... jeff
