January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Oh yeah I have been there before many times.  I have yet to order anything online as far as corals go.  Roe's has deals comparable to GARF.  You can get 10 corals for $100.00 on some months on GARF but mostly its like 7 corals for $100.  They offer a lot more stuff on GARF to as far as coral varieties go and they have a good brood stock from which they pull from.

Hi Angel hey i went to garf home page www.garf.org and i saw alot of stuff but really no pictures of the actuall coral for sale that are in those 10 for 100$One thing i have learned if you are going to buy coral over the net it is worth trying to buy the coral that you can see (cherry pick) what you are buying. I like the site Rico bought his last bunch of coral from as well it post shots of what you are buying as well..http://www.drmaccorals.com/sys-tmpl/door/
I do like Garf for information he kind of reminds me of the Sea-horse aquirum in portland woody tries to teach more that to sell ...http://www.seahorse-nw.com/

Here is another site I just bought some corals from.  It also is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)

http://cquarium.com

They have a lot of nice corals.

Another one to look at is Dr Mac's  http://drmaccorals.com/sys-tmpl/door/

Right now they have some awesome blue acro colonies.  Check every week as they change a lot.  Les recently picked up 10 acro frags for $99 and was very happy with that.  It really is a good price when you look at the local & Spokane shops charging $25 per frag.
