January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

The stand frame and drip pan base installed, ready to move the tank on top. Note the weights used to hold down the joint.

After getting the tank in the house we had to rest a bit due to back strain. The only way it would go throught the door was on its side and then we had to flip it back upright.

Tank installed in the house with the cabinet put on. I still need to install some trim and the tile in front of the tank.

Live rock curing tank, (here after known as LRCT).
This is set up in the shop due to the smell, Sad . The 5 gallon bucket has since been replaced with a 32 gallon trash can, I got tired with empting the bucket morning and night.

Thanks Shane and Ron for the kind words.
Ron, I would really like to get some pointers on building doors, they may look ok in the pictures, but up close there are some blems. The biggest problem I have is when assembling them I get a twist. This sets in and the door won't close flush like I would like.

All I can say is "Thanks a lot Les".  When we finally get around to getting my kitchen remodeled, you know Rick is going to want a bigger tank, so my kitchen project will turn into another tank project.

Seriously, that is a beautiful setup, but I wouldn't expect any less from you.  (no pun intended).   Cheesy

It turned out that I had plenty of help, my brother and neighbor and Mr Ed helped. I do however have seven bags of sand/crushed coral that need to be rinsed. If anyone wants to volunteer I would take you up on it. Cheesy
