January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Hey Angel, just so you can dream...here is ours...  This was before it was stained and Ron had the doors made - ours is almost done!  (which is why Angel's is still a pile of lumber at the moment - sorry Angel!)  Ron does GREAT work...we are so excited about the way the stand is coming out.  But, alas, IAP is having problems getting black acrylic so they have not yet started on our tank.  Why didn't someone tell me you have to have patience to set up a reef tank?....

Thanks Zul.  Here it is, all finished!  Isn't it bee-yoo-tee-full???   Cheesy   Instead of Ma, Look What I Built - this one needs to be "Ma, look what Ron built"!! He does great work.

Angel, you are going to be so excited to watch this come together!  We can't wait to haul that home and when IAP gets the tank done...well, look out!!

Ron, if you are reading this - you are the MAN!  Thanks so much!!!

It IS Bee-yoo-tee-ful!  Is he making a matching canopy as well? I love the shade you stained it. Ron, awesome job!

Thanks!   Yup - the canopy is not yet started, or even fully planned - waiting to get the tank so we can get a perfect fit.  One thing at a time (plus, as you know, one must lay out many, many dollars at each step of the process!) And, we haven't gotten to plumbing yet.  We know what we want, but haven't purchased any pumps, skimmer etc...nor lights...so a slow process, but it will be great when it is done!   I think the stain we picked out is a Minwax - dark oak maybe?  Ron can tell you for sure.
