Deals on MH 250w DE Bulbs?

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.
 
Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)
 
You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Anyone know of any smoking deals we can get on Metal Halide 250w Double end bulbs.  Maybe 2 10k's and a 14k.  Anyone have any suggestions on brand or color.??

I know Kevins number is 228-9954.   Again he is selling MH bulbs for 10% off this week.  If you want to look up DIYReef.  They usually have their prices posted.  :oops:    I just know that DIY REEf is advertising 10k, 14K, and 20 K double ended bulbs for sale.   I emailed them a couple a times and got a response the same day.   They are usually reasonable.    
I do not see the prices posted on their site of all bulbs.

I have 2 14k 175MH over my 55 and I really like how they look.  I think with 2 10k and a 14k you tank would look good.

   I am running a Hamilton 14K and a 15K coralvue.   I am considering going with another MH in the middle of the two of those.   I have everything but bulb, if I do double ended bulb I would need a double ended pendant too.

Hi Mike I am running the same bulbs as what your looking for in my 48" PFO fixture and I had Kevin install 15K HQI units and it really give a good clear to light blue hue let me know if you would like me to e-mail you some pictures of it lit up..HTH jeff

Great..  thanks for all the input.  I think I will go with the 2 10k's on the outside, and the 14k in the middle..  Plus 2 160w actinic VHO's..

Anyone have an extra or an old DE HQI 250MH I could borrow or have.  I would like to set up my extra fixture and get a feeling for it before I go buying new bulbs..

   Right now I have a PFO HQI 250 ballast and single mogul fixture.   I am debating if I want to go to two 400 watt bulbs or add another 250 in my tank.
