Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

I will take some pics of my setup tonight.  My setup consists of a 30gallon garbage can, a bulkhead, some PVC, a couple maxijet 1200's and a Ebo Jager heater (thanx for the borrow ED).  I pulled my ASM G4 out of my tank and am using it as my skimmer..  And I am running filter floss and carbon in a fluval 404.  I'm curring 88lbs of live rock.  Smell isn't that bad now.  The first day was pretty bad, but now it's just a little pungent.  My salt is 2.045 and the temp is 79.2..  Can't wait until it is done and ready for my tank.

I didn't buy any rock this last go round but will in the future.  You have nice set up so I can only imagine how nice it wil look with the new rock!  Are you going to be replacing any of what you aready have or just adding to?  Thanks

Mike,
Are you going to attempt to add all the rock at once or just chunks at a time?

Not sure.  Depends on how stinkey and cleaned off I think it is.  I can add it slowley no problem.  The hard part was getting the wife to accept the curring container in the first place.  but now that I have it it will be no problem keeping it up.
