Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

I recently purchased a Dolphin pump.    I was told it was barely used.   It may have been barely used but it had water inside it somehow.    I called Dolphin pumps they told me they would rebuild it for cost of seals and shipping.   The quote was around 35-40 dollars at most.   They stated it would be like brand new.   I spoke with Les.   He said bring it on out.   Lets see if we can get it running.

Les showed me his DYI and Tank.     You can tell he has done his homework.   I have pix of his system.  Very well done.

Les took the pump apart pretty quick.  He offered me  and pepsi and as he took my pump apart.    I was pretty nervous.   I took a drink out of Les's Pepsi.   Les assured me if I did it again I would be short lived.       lmao.   But I worked at not doing it again.   He was amazed how well the pump was built.   He showed me how it had roller bearings inside.    I had a phone call from wife as he was working on it.   I hated to leave.   But my aniversary was postponed one day.   My wife was not going to take another day.   I had to leave.
I checked my email today.  Les said My pump is ready for action.   He stated it was ready not much longer after I left Saturday.   He said I may want to buy a seal for a back up.   I look forward to using this.   I have to pay Les for his time.  But its nice to know you have someone with experience in the group with rebuilding pumps.    I would not feel as comfortable doing this alone or attemp to do it alone.
Thanks Les!
  Thanks for the good time.

You are incorrect I think on Rule #2 Matt.

Rule #2 is Don't leave your pepsi near Ed or he will drink it..

Read post below..These guys are cool. Cheesy
Quote by Dolphin:
6.96 would be the shipping cost for a seal kit, and FYI return ground shipping on the pump if you send it here is $16.45.
Thanks
