My family (now members of the aquarium) took a trip down to Monterey a couple weeks ago. Here's a few pics:
Leafy Seadragon

Jellyfish - they had some kind of UV setup to make them fluoresce:

They had some sizable reef tanks (about 4'x20'x5' tall here):

And they knew something about keeping macro algae (or kelp) in large tanks. The upper half of this tank was as large as the lower half, but it didn't all fit in the picture, even with the wide angle lens. It's a good 150' wide, as well.:

They also did some crazy things with plexiglass:
