January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Thanks Grant.  Not sure if we will make it or not, can't remember plans for that weekend at this point.  If we don't, I'll get raffle items to Ed again.

We need a Topic or Two to talk about as Katy said.   I would love to explain testing with salifert test kits and hand out RHF reef tank parameters as targets.    I hope this does not intimidate the host, if Host is not comfortable I will bring water from somewhere else to test.  I have salifert test kits I will bring.    That is one topic.   I will dig up another with hand out.

Sure Jerry.  Smiley   I just hope to bring everyone up to speed.   Testing is confusing for some.   I know it was for me at first.

We have a larger Item to raffle off.   It will be a larger item.   So we will have two raffles again.   The larger item will have a five dollar ticket with a option of the more you buy the cheaper and more odds again like previously.   Carmen or Nacho can you call me and I will try to explain.   I was hoping everyone knew of this Raffle.    I am going to ask Carmen to post it to all members.  Grin

Here is the heads on on New Large Raffle Item.
29 gallon glass tank set up  and established for a few years with a few fish and live rock.   Metal Halide with 175 watt bulb and off course a few powerheads.    Set up and running and looking for a new owner.
Tank will be raffled off on Friday at the meeting.

To add to Ed's post - this will be a ONE NIGHT raffle for this tank. The current owners need to have it out in the near future. So, if you are interested, plan to be at the meeting this Friday!

Carmen, if you could send this raffle info along with the meeting notice e-mail, that would be great!
