January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Hello there,

I am rather new to the aquarium world, and though that is my next step in aquariums, I am just not quite there as of yet. I'm thinking of gutting out my section of the bedroom and doing a nice little 20 gallon nano reef as I think it would look way cool, and would be a good challenge for me.

Hopefully, I will be able to meet some of you at some point, and we can talk reefs, corals, and other things.

So right now, I'm not very active in the saltwater world, but I plan on changing that.

Nice to meet fellow Tri-Citians in the hobby, and hopefully I can get to the level of experience I may be able to provide information to this forums/meetings, in stead of just being a lurker!

Nice to meet you all.

Welcome Christopher, you should definitely plan to come to some of the future meetings.  Keep an eye on the site, as I'm sure you have noticed if you've been lurking for any lenght of time, there will be a notice in the upper left corner when we get closer to the date.  You will likely not be on the e-mail list, but please post in the thread to receive directions if you do want to make the meeting.  Remember, we all learned through asking questions, so you don't have to just lurk even now.  There are a lot of people with different ideas, so you can get a good number of suggestions and decide which combination fits best with what you are wanting to do.

Won't be able to make the April meeting myself, but hope to see you at our place in May!

Oh, I have every intentions of making meetings, as it would be nice to sit and talk fish with people who love 'em as much as I do! (The wife doesn't quite understand the obsession.) She thinks I'm weird because I want to get rid of a small bookshelf I have in the bedroom, get some really solid steel shelving, and put another two tanks in the bedroom. Definitely suffering from a slight case of MTS! Smiley

Just need to find out where the are, and how to get to them and from them (no car), but chances are pretty high you'll be seeing a bit of me.

Thank you for the welcome.
