January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

wayne,

I'll be needing carbon sometime in the not too distant future...I can see if we can get a discount on a couple buckets.  Ed, they have several types of GFO, let me know which you decide to go with.

Nate:

If you order, I do need carbon myself.  So I can contribute to multiple buckets.  Do you have an idea on your timing?

I'm pretty broke at the moment, had to buy a new ballast yesterday for one of my 400's.  And, Just had to replace the 6V batteries in the 5th wheel as well.  So, I'm a month or so out probably.  But, I can do the order for you and save you the $ with my preferred account if you want.  You and Jerry could still split shipping charges too.

Jerry, again, I need to know sizes of the supplements you want, go to bulkreef.com and look at what they have and tell me which items and sizes you want if you want to order along with Wayne.

If someone wants to go forward, just let me know.  I am interested in carbon and some filter supplies.  Has anyone used their highend carbon?  Is it worth the price.  When someone is definitely interested, I review their site and give an exact list and pay in advance to whom orders.

I've been very happy with their standard large lignite carbon for my reactor.  Never bothered with the extra expense of the higher grade stuff, but I go through a 5g bucket every 6 months or so...so don't want to spend that much.

Hello Fraggy,
I have some spare carbon if you would like?
I am not sure what grade it is.

Hi Ed:

Will call you on the carbon.  Figure out what you want for it.
