Ed,

I thought this was going to be just the announcement for the raffle?  Wasn't the plan to announce the raffle, start selling the tickets, then have the ACTUAL raffle be in June?

Please contact me so we can correct the posting.

Watch for a post/e-mail from Nacheetah in the near future.  She'll be sending out the info, and we'll try to get Paul to update the website with a link on the front page as well.

after further discussion this raffle will be put on at a later date.

Another Item was added as of today from a person wanting to be a sponsor and give the Club a  15% discount.

That item is a Julian Sprung book.

Just some further info on the plan -

We are going to present the items for the secondary raffle this month.  Everything that Ed has listed will be included in this raffle.  The idea being, you buy tickets, and then you put the stub of as many of the tickets you buy as you want in the collection can for each raffle item.  We plan to allow tickets to be bought over a couple month period - just in case people don't see this post, and come to the meeting, see the stuff and don't have money to get tickets for it.

We will discuss how long we want to let this raffle run at the meeting.  Ed is currently taking care of the tank with the pipefish, and has had shoulder surgery recently - so it's pretty hard for him to care for the tank.

Jeff,
This is what pair looks like.  They are about 3 inches long.

The tank is a 20 gallon Tall.  I have a Current PC light with two bulbs and moon lights, one powerhead in tank, a heater inclosed in PVC to shielding. A over the back filter filter, air pump  with undergravel which is a big no, no because of air splash.    I have some of Ricks Turtle grass, a little bit of Chaeto probably from you Jeff,  One piece of Tonga Rock with several branches picked By Kevin P for this.
A little sand on the bottom, lots of pods.   Tank comes with cast iron stand and a one gallon tank for raising brine.   Smiley

For those of you who didn't make the meeting this month, it has been decided to let this run until April's meeting.  So, you will have next month's and the majority of the April meeting to get your tickets for this.  Remember, keep your stubs!  You will need to have your stub and be present at the April meeting in order to win.

The items for bid are:

2 buckets (160 gallon) of IO Salt (1 ticket = 1 bucket for a total of 2 winners)
1 40x and 2 30x magnifiers (3 winners)
2 used 175 watt MH ballasts (2 winners)
1 Algae: a problem solver's guide book (1 winner)
2 Aptaisia X by Red Sea (2 winners)
1 20g Tall complete system with breeding pair of pipefish (1 winner - and already a good number of tickets sold for this one!)

Tickets are discounted more and more the more you buy:
$5 each
$20 for 5 ($4 each)
$30 for 8 ($3.75 each)
$40 for 15 ($2.67 each)
$50 for 25 ($2 each)
