January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Hi everyone,

I just got some bad news from Greg & Sandi True.  They have had a family emergency and will not be able to host the Feb meeting.  So, the club is currently homeless for next month's meeting.  Please respond to this post if you would be able to host the meeting for us.  Typically this is the 2nd weekend of the month - which would be Feb. 13th (Valentine's weekend).  If that weekend won't work for anyone, we could probably move the meeting a weekend forward to the 6th, but let's try for the 13th first.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone, sorry we can't host the Feb meeting, due to Greg's uncle passing away yesterday.  So we will be busy on weekends with that for a month or so....

Thank You Les!  We now have a place for a really good meeting for Feb!  We'll be meeting at his shop in Richland on Stevens Drive.  I'll get more details and have Carmen put up the official meeting notice on the web and send out by e-mail.

Oh, man, I would have liked to go to that one, but Valentine's Day weekend is definitely booked for me this year.

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

Awesome now I don't have to figure out anything special to do for Valentines day. Speaking of which, when is Valentines day?

Sorry you won't be able to make it Paul.  That's a bummer - but understand with the Holiday being that weekend.

Day after the meeting.   Tongue

OK folks,
The meeting will be at 6PM, Sat Feb 13th, located at 2345 Stevens Drive Richland. This is the south end of the old Hanford stores building. Use the ground level entrance that is just to the left of the large truck bay doors that face Stevens Dr.
For those that want to come a bit ealier Beau and I will be here around 5:00 or so to set up for it.

I've talked with Les, he has chairs, and has said that we are all welcome to bring snacks/beverages (beer OK as well).  He's got a couple tables as well - so we'll have a place to put raffle items (remember to bring something to donate if you wish) and a place for the snacks.   Smiley

I know this is a little off of the subject but I'm looking for some volunteers for Friday night to help with a Casino night from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

We will meet at the Convention Center at 7:30 to practice if you're rusty in Black Jack like I am.  They will also have Texas Holdem and Roulette Wheel.

This is for a large company and I committed myself to recruiting a few people and what a better place to do so.

PM me, if you're interested.

Don't forget the meeting tomorrow night at 6:00 PM at the shop.  We will have some frags that have been on plugs for about 2 months to raffle as well as some for Cartman......Cartman, you must be present to claim Cheesy

You may want to bring a cooler for your frags, if you're feeling lucky.

See you there!

Great turnout last night!  Really impresses that we had so many show up, even with it being a double-holiday weekend.

Les it was great to see you, and it's good to see your tank in its new life at the shop instead of your house.  Thanks again for hosting for us. I know I enjoyed it, and I'm sure for the comments from other members that your system was a hit.  It's not every day we get a chance to see a 410 gallon tank that was built by its owner. Smiley
