Too much flow?

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.  
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.

I have finally got the 80 gal. setup, but am thinking that perhaps I have too much water flow because the current seems particularly strong on some of the inhabitants. I have two 1350 gph powerheads running. The tank is 48x18x22. Too much?

Doesn't sound like too much.  May just be a matter of your positioning of the flow direction.

may seem like alot, and depending on what type of powerheads you have running. maxi jet modes or koralia produce a tunnel of water, where alot of powerheads are like jet nozzles. don't point these right at any thing you like    but i belive you almost have enough flow

The powerheads I have are designed like a korelia. I have them near the top and directed at the surface, but it still whips the anemone around quite abit. I have posted some pics of the tank. if you look at the RBTA and the GBTA you can see what I mean. At least I know I have no dead spots cause I have placed then in just about every place in the tank and they still catch alot of current.

You have a lot of flow, definitely not too little but you could have more if you really wanted it. Your setup looks like you don't really need anymore, nice and open with nothing to slow the water down. As far as the RBTA and GBTA have some spots available that are in low current areas that they can move to and make sure you spot feed them. Other than that it is up to them to move where they like it the most. Keep them out of the powerheads, I have heard of more Condis than Bubble Tips going through them but it is something to think about.

Not too much flow in my oppinion.    I just saw a picture of your tank too.  I love it.  It looks fantastic.
