April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

We've got one, but the ballast would need to be sent in to IceCap and re-conditioned.  They can usually turn them around inside of 2 weeks.  If you need it faster than that, I can talk to KyleB and see if he wants to take the ballast that needs fixed, as he is buying the other 2 we have.

We had bought these from club members and have decided against using them - we are looking to sell them for what they cost us, $75 for the fixture, $65 for the ballast (for the good one) or $15 for the one needing fixed (repair is $40 I believe plus shipping).  You can see the price is the same by looking at their part-out thread here:  http://mcsac.org/index.php/topic,1256.0.html

In addition, we have brand new bulbs for these that we will again sell for what we paid for them - will have to get the amount from Colleen if you are intersted.

If you want this, and need the working ballast, let me know ASAP and I will talk to Kyle to see if he wants the deal on the other ballast.

Hi Nate,
I was needing a working light as my tank is setup and ready to be stocked. Let me know how much for the bulbs as well. Call me anytime 509-308-4956.

Jerry,

I talked to Kyle - he's planning to start his tank up this weekend, and would prefer to stay with the 2 working ballasts.  So, since I have had a commitment from him for nearly a month I'll need to keep the two working ballasts.  Please let me know if you decide to go with the other ballast.  It should only take a week (or two with the Holiday shipping season) to get it fixed.  You could contact Ice Cap and ask them what their schedule is like to know how long turn-around would be.

Let me know if you don't find anything else and want to go this route.

Thanks Nate. I think if I need to wait I will just go with the Lumatek that ed has recommended to me. I have found the 250W ballast online for 99.95 with free shipping

You might take a look at Reef Frontiers classifieds too, there are MH's for sale on there quite often.  Hope you find something
