April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

I am from the BB crowd. I don't have any sand in my tank at all.
As far as that goes neither does Ed :?

Live sand is nice, but unneccessay unless you are planing on going DSB. If you are, then plan to buy at least 1lb of live sand for every 5lbs of dead sand.

true to some extent, but the diversity that a DSB requires and the numbers that it requires from the very get go can not be achieved by the livestock from the rocks alone. DSB's in my experience are more of a balancing act that takes time, skill, patience and only lasts on the average of two-four years tops. After that they crash.

If you are really interested, here is some light reading for you   Cheesy
