January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

A while back we made a order with Reeftopia.   I was happy with what we got at such great prices. They usually throw in a few extras of something to keep you coming back.
My tank is in need of the same thing again since my tear down and rebuild.   I know other people wanted in on the deals but did not know it was going on.   Well, here is your chance.   Rod and I are going to make a order with Reeftopia.   The more that order the better deal we get.  We have had a really good success rate with this place.   So If you would like to get in on the great deals on Snails, Crabs, starfish, nudibranches, etc....please look up  www.reeftopia.com   ..
I want to make a order soon.  I need it bad.   My algae bloom is happening.   The last time I got 100 golden atrea for 29 dollars it ended up costing 26 dollars.   My glass  was clean fo ra long time until my tear down.    That is how good it gets after a 200 dollar order.  I would appreciate any help I could get.   I do not think you will be disapointed.
Thanks in Advance,
Ed

So far total is $311.00
if I order these please be prepared to pick them up on Wednesday...I will be home after 3pm.  If you can not make it, please have wife or someone pick these up.   I do not want these to die.   I will be as cautious as possible.   I will wait until other people are around to bring them to light.  The less stress the better for criters.  If I order these on Tuesday, they come in next day by Fed EX.
Thanks,
Ed

:?: All I got was a confirmation that the order would be delivered by Reeftopia tomorrow.   My mother in law will recieve it at my house.   My only concern is that I have over time tomorrow.   I will get home until about 8pm.   I am hoping that Matt can meet with my wife at 7pm?   Please show up at 8 pm for critters.   I asked that they be packed the way we ordered.  We will see how we get them.  I bet they are packed like that.   I did not get a price on the critters.   I asked for a price by email.   I can get the amount tommorow from wife at our Bank.  Sorry, I just got a order was confirmed notice with a $ sign nothing more.   Its kinda scarey.   I told her Edie I did not want to go past $ 311.00.   I guess we will find out tommorow.   I was told we get a 15% discount for going over $300.   Matt I hope you can help me with this tomorrow?  My address is 6915 W. 2nd Ave. Kennewick,Wa.
If you take Clearwater to Van Buren (street inbetween Pub Tavern and Honda Dealership) turn there.   Go up two streets to 2nd Ave.  Make a left turn.  I am the second house on the right side of the road.  Mauve house with white trim.  We have a shed the same color behind cedar fence.  Also we have a portable Basketball hoop out front by drive way.
good luck,
Ed

I have no idea what time the order will come in today.   Please be patient.   My mother in law will recieve the order at my house.  She is waiting for it.   She will put it in a good quiet place.   I wanted to create the least amount of stress to animals.   That is why I asked to meet at 8 pm at my house.   The box will be opened for all to see.   Less bumping animals around.   If you have ordered Mail order before like I have sometimes animals sit on loading docks for a couple days.   I got a order of Discus from Bill Deem like this once.   They did well.  So please be patient.   The box will not sit for a couple days.  So please do not worry.  It looks like it was sent out last night by shipping information.  So it will not be 24 hours.   I hope this helps

        I have rock under my hair algae.   I ask anyone that was at my house last night to look at what the snails and nudis have done to my tank?   You would have to see it to believe it!  I am guessing 8 hours later.   I have large areas of clean rock again.  In may take less than 3 days for things to be clean?

Wow, that is awesome Ed. I just hope those things can stay alive long enough to keep it gone. Maybe you should have only gotten 1 instead of 4.
