Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

I have a few things I don’t need anymore and would like to sell:

Iwaki pump MD-30RXT-115NL (near new, in original box)
2 Sea Swirl Rotating Return Device ¾” (very little use, in original box)
Spectra Pure 5 stage RO DI unit with nearly new (<40gal) filters including RO membrane
2 175W MH ballasts (free old MH bulbs, sockets if wanted)
59 gallon Reef Ready Tank and Stand (black oak)

Please send PM with a reasonable offer (or questions) for anything your interested in. Please don’t low-ball

Do you have pictures, more details about that tank and stand (glass or acrylic, dimensions, drilled, etc.)?

My RO/DI unit is gone again (I seem to be hard on those) and I'm borrowing Ed's at the moment, so I might be interested in yours as well, though I usually buy them inexpensively on eBay, so I don't know how the prices would compare.

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

What are the dimensions on the MH ballasts and how old are they?

I had trouble uploading pictures but I'm giving it another try. The tank is glass and has one built in overflow (drilled).

I cant imagine what you do to an RO/DI unit next to drop or freeze. Even then they can be fixed easily. My original Spectra Pure unit (circa '99) is still gets daily use. You do have to replace filters and membranes from time to time. Maybe the money you save buying e-bay isn't paying off in the long run.
Mine is an older version of http://www.spectrapure.com/St_MaxCap-RO-DI.htm 10" housings, flush valve kit.

The MH ballasts are Advance Transformer Co. Catalog 72C5581-NP

I bought them ~8yrs ago but only used them for ~9 months. I assume they've got plenty of life left in them but I don't really know. Include wiring, new sockets&mounts, and old bulbs.
