January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

Hi All,  I just got moved into the area.  I'm in Hermiston and have been living in the Seattle area the last few years.  I've had a tank going for 4 years now.  I thought I'd hop in here and say Hi.  I was looking for info to join the club and see when you guys meet.  Thanks

Welcome back to the Basin Ryan. We meet every second weekend of the month.   Our next meeting will be a Halloween meeting and many of us dress for this one and have a good time.  As silly as some of us look, we still take the time to discuss the hobby and have a meeting.

We will post more information once the hostess has confirmed a date and plan.

Hope to see you soon!

As opposed to our normal meeting when everyone shows up without clothes.  :p

Welcome, look forward to seeing you at one of the next meetings!

I'm here reading this and cracking up at the same time because I reread what I wrote and it does look funny. Embarrassed  Leave it to you to see the humor in that one.

Ryan, don't let them scare you away.  We really are a fun group and like to dress up in Costumes for the October meeting.

More information to come.

You guys are cracking me up!

Welcome Ryan.    Believe it or not the group here IS fairly normal (well, MOST of us, anyway)!  Wink  The club has a great combined knowledge base and all of the club members are great about sharing what they have learned over the years and help each other out.  Be careful though, this club has a history of making people's aquarium size grow !!!  :-O

Hope to see you at a meeting soon.  BTW -- The October meeting is one meeting that is usally moved from the 2nd weekend to a weekend closer to Halloween.

And if the webmaster ever gets his act together the site will better reflect club information and the next meeting...

Hey, it's been a long time since I've seen everyone.  I've been pretty ill, but I'm doing better and plan to start cleaning things up again this week.

Welcome, Ryan--I look forward to seeing you at the club meetings.

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.
